The Digital Television Association (Thailand) in collaboration with the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and terrestrial digital TV stations, both business and public service, made history by organizing a significant seminar titled “1 Decade of Digital TV: Beyond the Next Step” on August 28, 2024, at BITEC Bangna. The event brought together over 20 key figures in the television and content industry to share insights and chart the future course of Thailand’s digital TV landscape, particularly in light of the upcoming license expirations in 2029.
Presiding over the event was Professor Emeritus Dr. Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, Chairman of the NBTC, who delivered the opening address. The seminar emphasized the role of digital TV as the nation’s primary media platform while also exploring opportunities to harness the Soft Power potential of Thai content on the global stage.
At the event, Ms.Nanthaphan Sangchai, Assistant Director of Mono29 TV, represented station executives and presented plaques of appreciation to the seminar speakers. Additionally, Mono29 news anchor “Bank-PobEk Pornpongmetta” served as the event’s host.
