MONOMAX Upgrades 4K Streaming Infrastructure with AW

Mono Streaming Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Mono Next Public Company Limited (MONO), is upgrading the streaming infrastructure of MONOMAX, a sports and entertainment streaming platform with more than 4 million registered users, by leveraging the AWS Asia Pacific (Thailand) Region.

The enhanced infrastructure is designed to strengthen platform stability, security, and scalability, enabling MONOMAX to support high volumes of concurrent viewers and prepare for the continued growth of live sports and premium entertainment content. The upgrade also supports MONOMAX’s preparations to deliver 4K streaming for the Premier League 2026/27 season, reinforcing the platform’s commitment to providing broadcast-quality experiences for live sports and on-demand entertainment.

Through its collaboration with Jasmine International Public Company Limited (JAS), the rights holder of major global sports properties—including the Premier League and Emirates FA Cup, as well as volleyball competitions from Volleyball World and major international football tournaments—MONOMAX serves as a key platform for live streaming and on-demand viewing. Ensuring scalability, reliability, and security is therefore critical to delivering a seamless viewing experience for audiences.

During the 2025/26 Premier League season, MONOMAX successfully supported more than 400,000 concurrent viewers during a high-profile match between Manchester United and Liverpool, demonstrating the platform’s ability to handle significant traffic during peak viewing periods. For the 2026/27 season, MONOMAX is taking the viewing experience to the next level with 4K streaming, powered by AWS Media infrastructure designed to scale according to demand and support high-quality, uninterrupted content delivery.

MONOMAX’s AWS-based streaming infrastructure incorporates AWS Elemental Media Services for real-time processing and delivery of live streams, Amazon CloudFront for fast, low-latency content delivery, and AWS WAF and AWS Shield Advanced to strengthen security and protect against cyber threats during high-demand live events.

In addition, Mono Streaming works closely with AWS media specialists through AWS Unified Operations for Media, providing hands-on operational support during major live streaming events. The collaboration enables real-time monitoring, proactive issue resolution, and continuous improvements to the streaming platform, helping ensure a reliable, broadcast-quality viewing experience even during peak-demand sports events.

Navamin Prasopnet, Chief Executive Officer of Mono Streaming Co., Ltd., said:

“Our goal is to establish MONOMAX as a leading sports and entertainment streaming platform, delivering world-class experiences to millions of viewers. Live sports streaming requires both the stability to support large audiences and highly efficient technology infrastructure. Leveraging AWS as our technology foundation strengthens MONOMAX’s readiness to support global sporting events while continuously enhancing the viewing experience.”

MONOMAX is also preparing to launch a Public Service Status Page, enabling users to check the status of key services, maintenance updates, and incidents that may affect service availability. The initiative is designed to enhance transparency and communication with users.

Watson Thirapatrphong, Country Manager, AWS Thailand, said:

“Today’s viewers expect seamless, high-quality streaming experiences, whether watching the Premier League live or catching up on on-demand content. The AWS Asia Pacific (Thailand) Region provides MONOMAX with the speed, reliability, and scalability needed to serve large audiences. We are pleased to support Mono Streaming as it continues to develop new innovations and experiences for viewers in Thailand.”

The infrastructure upgrade marks another important step for MONOMAX in preparing for the long-term growth of Live Sports and Premium Entertainment, while continuing to raise streaming standards and deliver high-quality viewing experiences to sports fans and audiences across Thailand.

Investigations revealed a network of websites illegally retransmitting copyrighted football broadcasts while displaying advertisements linked to online gambling platforms. Authorities subsequently conducted searches at two locations in Phetchabun and Samut Sakhon provinces, leading to the arrest of two suspects who admitted to managing the websites. The suspects reportedly generated approximately 300,000–500,000 baht per month from online advertising sales. Computers, mobile phones, and data servers were seized as evidence.

Further investigation led officers to a second network operating in Udon Thani Province. Authorities identified a website serving as a source of unauthorized streaming links and carrying advertisements connected to more than 20 gambling-related websites. Two additional suspects were arrested: Mr. Rojanarin (surname withheld), a system programmer and administrator, and Ms. Kannika (surname withheld), an advertising coordinator. The pair allegedly earned between 1–2 million baht per month from the operation. Officers seized computers, servers, and 480,000 baht in cash during the raid.

In total, four suspects were arrested as part of the operation. They have been charged with offenses related to organizing, advertising, and promoting unauthorized online gambling activities through electronic media, in violation of applicable laws.

The operation highlights the strong cooperation between CIB, JAS, and MONO in protecting intellectual property rights, combating unauthorized sports content distribution, and preventing the use of illegal online platforms as channels for gambling-related promotion.
