MONO GROUP EMPLOYEES DELIVERED SOFT DRINK BOTTLES TO MAHASARAKHAM HOSPITAL

CSR Department of Mono Group continues to be part in helping society by delivering 750ml – 1.25L soft drink bottles donated by employees under Mono Group to Mahasarakham Hospital. The bottles will be recycled into volumetric spacers to use with bronchodilator inhalers as they help reducing the spread of medicine from the inhalers. Recently, the representatives of Mono Group sent the soft drink bottles via post to Mahasarakham Hospital for making the device.

“MONO GROUP” EMPLOYEES DONATED CLOTHES TO HELP FIGHTING FOREST FIRES IN NORTHERN THAILAND

The CSR Department of Mono Technology PCL. requested employees under Mono Group to donate long-sleeved shirts, overcoats, pants, sneakers, etc. The donation was to be delivered to firefighters and volunteers for combating fire and covering wounded animals from the forest fire rages in northern Thailand. Recently, the donation was sent via post by the representatives of Mono Group employees to charities namely “Sai Tai Aok Rod” and “Pa Khao Lom Hai Jai Rao” which provide support in environmental issues and forest fires in the north. The donation will be beneficial to their projects.

Volunteers of Mono Group cooperatively made face shields for hospitals and medical staff. Recently, the representatives of Mono Group volunteers presented face shields to Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute (BIDI), Department of Disease Control. Ms. Sukhonsri Klong-akara, a nurse in Triage Unit of BIDI, and Ms. Chantana Keha, Acting Chief of Out-of-Hours Service Unit, Siriraj Hospital, were the receivers. The face shields was also sent to Thasae 2 Hospital in Chumphon by post for medical staff to use them for preventing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Referring to the outbreak of Coronavirus Disease 2019 or “COVID-19” in many countries worldwide, recently, Department of Health has collaborated with Mono Group to produce a 2-minute video clip to prevent and reduce the infection of COVID-19. The video clip promotes easy and effective ways for people to prevent and reduce the spread of COVID-19. These guidelines include wearing face mask, avoiding risk areas, using public transportation or objects, exercising, social distancing, as well as taking care of your health and family members.

BASKETBALL PROJECTS BY CSR MONO YEAR-END 2019

Continued with the projects “Basketball Project by CSR MONO” and ” Mono Basketball Dream by GSB”, Mono Group, GSB, and Mono Vampire provided sport opportunity for children in remote areas. In these projects, players of Mono Vampire Basketball Club taught the children some basic basketball skills and encouraged them to play basketball. As for the activity at the end of 2019, Mr. Kittisak Pukcharoen, Assistant Vice President CSR of Mono Group, and Mr. Bhutinat Rathanaviriyachai, Manager (Tournament Section) of Mono Sport Entertainment Co., Ltd. under Mono Group, honorably presented basketball boards to schools for sport teaching and basketball practicing.

The first school participated in the projects was Phachi “Sunthorn Wittayanukul” School in Ayutthaya, followed by Muaklekwittaya School in Saraburi. Basketball boards were also presented to 16 schools, including Sutheewittaya School, Triamudomsuksapattanakarn School, Nong Khae School, Nongdonwittaya School, Songkhonwittayakhom School, Wangmuangwittayakhom School, Kaengkhoi School, Banmo Phatthananukul School, Suankularn Wittayalai Saraburi School, Banthamaprangwittaya School, Debsirin Phukhae School, Saohai School, Saraburiwitthayakhom School, Tha Luang Cement Thai Anusorn Technical College, Nongsaengwittaya School, and Hinkong Witthayakhom School. Students and basketball players of these schools joined Mono Group’s activities. Mono Vampire basketball players also talked about their experiences and gave the children inspiration towards basketball.

2019 SUSTAINABILITY DISCLOSURE AWARD GIVING CEREMONY

On December 11, 2019, Mr. Kittisak Pukcharoen, Assistant Vice President CSR and Internal Communication of Mono Technology PCL. under Mono Group, received Sustainability Disclosure Acknowledgement Award in the award giving ceremony of 2019 Sustainability Disclosure Award. Held by Thaipat Institute, the award aims to promote the realization to the importance of information disclosure on business operation in terms of economy, society, and environment, or ESG issues (Environmental, Social, and Governance) among registered companies and organizations under the membership of SDC. The disclosure of information done in the form of Sustainability Report or other forms which reveals the sustainability of the business will benefit the stakeholders, promote a long-term sustainable organization development, as well as fulfill Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The award giving took place in room 1601, 6th floor of The Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

MONO BASKETBALL DREAM NO. 58-59

GSB presented basketball boards to schools in the project “Mono Basketball Dream” on November 14. Supported by GSB, Mr. Bhutinat Rathanaviriyachai, Manager (Tournament Section) of Mono Sport Entertainment Co., Ltd. under Mono Group, along with basketball players of Mono Vampire Basketball Club and former national basketball players, including Sing – Chanachon Klahan, Poy – Darunpong Apiromvilaichai, So – Sorot Sunthonsiri, and Top – Anurak Rodleang took part in the activities of “Mono Basketball Dream”. Basketball boards were given to Samutsakhonwittayalai School in Samut Sakhon and Kururatrungsarit School in Ratchaburi. Over 150 students participated in this activity, which involved basic skill practice and basketball techniques from fundamental level to team competition. Other than the knowledge about basketball, the children also had fun with the relaxing lesson, got some gifts, as well as the good inspiration from Mono Vampire professional basketball players.

Mr. Sang Do Lee, Chief Executive Officer of Mono Technology PCL. under Mono Group, received the certification in the membership extension of Thailand’s Private Sector Collective Action Coalition Against Corruption : CAC for the second year continuously. The event took place at Hyatt Regency Bangkok Hotel.

Mr. Shinsuke Yuasa, President of Thai Otsuka Co., Ltd., Mr. Takayuki Kushida, Managing Director of Otsuka Nutraceutical (Thailand) Co., Ltd., along with Mr. Bhutinat Rathanaviriyachai, Manager (Tournament Section) of Mono Sport Entertainment Co., Ltd. under Mono Group, held the activity “MONO Basketball Dream” No.57. In this event, a basketball board was given to Watpasakae School in Suphanburi, with Ratdech Kruatiwa (J.O.), Phumin Singhasem (Seua), and Siripong Boonyai (Boy), the three representatives of professional basketball players, taught the children basic basketball skills and talked about their experiences.

MONO GROUP GREETED HRH PRINCESS MAHA CHAKRI SIRINDHORN

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phichani Bodharamik, Chairwoman of Dr. Phichani Bodharamik Foundation for Children and Seniors, along with Mono Technology PCL. led by Mr. Sang Do Lee, CEO, and Mr. Kittisak Pukcharoen, Assistant Vice President CSR, greeted Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at the multipurpose area of Dr. Phichani Bodharamik Foundation for Children and Seniors at Bandongtawan Border Patrol Police Learning Center, Kut Khaopun District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.

In this occasion, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phichani Bodharamik presented a report about the foundation projects during 2018, for example, giving Mono Group School Building No.9 plus necessary equipment and 10 toilets for teachers and students. The total contribution which worth 3,002,800 baht was aimed to improve children education.

In 2019, the foundation contributed an additional donation of 3,998,000 baht for the construction of Mono Group School Building No.10 in addition to 2,000,000 baht which was given previously. The construction also included the restrooms for the superiors, the multipurpose activity area, the nameplate of Bandongtawan Border Patrol Police Learning Center, the nameplate in front of the school building, and Sala Iodine. All of these contributions totalled 7,000,800 baht.
